Ride For Heart has been changed.

We are having to move the ride back one more day due to unforeseen circumstances. So instead f starting on Fri the 24th we will start on Sat the 25th. Which will also give me an extra day to spend with my wife after our anniversary.

Don’t worry we will still be doing this and are very happy for your support so far. Thanks for reading.

Chris.

In 25 days I will be departing on one of my biggest journeys of my life.

running4hissanity:

I am raising money for Dakota who is a god friend. She has had to have 2 heart surgeries in the last 2 years and asked if we could raise money for a great place that has helped her out. So please help spread the word/donate to a great cause. Thank You.

I have to say what a great opening for the Olympics. I will not spoil it for those who have not seen it yet but very well put together. I’m excited to see the cycling and triathlon events. What do you most want to see?

Busy week this week.

Got to make some phone calls and
Stuff. I need to call the Ontario Provincial Police and ask for a police escort out of town and the police in all the towns we will be stopping in. I need to go to my Local Bike Shop and get The Bee tuned up a bit. I am noticing a tick when I push to hard. I hope it is nothing to big and now I need to see if my front tire can be tried too as I now have a wobble in it.

I also need to train, go to Ottawa to meet with a few great people who are going to donate some cycling clothes. They have an awesome event coming up soon that I hope go to. It is a gala for cancer. I will post more about that soon. But this week I’ll be busy. Have a great week and happy Monday everyone.

Sending out donation Letters

I have put out some requests to a few great organizations for clothing/jerseys for my trip next month and I have had 2 replies. Thank you to these awesome people. Will post more when we have confirmation on donations. Now to get a trailer to haul all of my stuff too.

I have sent off a request to Maya Cycle Bicycle Trailers. They are a great company and they are Canadian too which is also great. Check out their site here. They are reasonably priced too.

I wanted to make sure that I had a bike that would work well for all the riding that I am going to do for these good causes that I wish to raise money for. So here is my first Donation. It is a GMC Denali Pro Road Bike (56cm Frame).

  • 16-speed Microshift drivetrain with integrated brake/shift levers
  • Dual-pivot brake system helps you stop on a dime
  • Aluminum rims with stainless-steel spokes; 700c x 25 tires
  • Recommended height range of 5’ 9” to 6’ 1”

I will give it a full review after I have rode it for a bit.
